|CHILDREN’S BUREAU AUXILIARY MINUTES OF THE BOARD MEETING Tuesday, November 14, 2006Those in attendance were: Ann Frick, Sandy Kurker, Shirley Lewis, Sue McClure, Kathleen McGrath, Marie Miller, Connie Odekirk, Mary Ann Pahud, Andra Sudler, Pam West.
The meeting was called to order at 9:20 a.m. by Andra Sudler in President, Lisa Weedman’s, absence.
Andrea McIlwraith has submitted a letter requesting to go inactive. Her request was approved.
A discussion followed about how to retain younger members as well as recruit younger members. A focus group was formed that will discuss this situation and will report back to the Board at the February Board meeting. Members of this group are Sue McClure, Sandy Kurker, Connie Odekirk, and Mary Ann Pahud.
Vice President As the only auxiliary member attending the event, Sandy Kurker reported that only thirteen children attended the Group Homes Fall Outing.
Treasurer Kathleen McGrath did not present a formal report this month as there were few changes from the previous month.
Pam West passed out the Budget and Expense reports for the Direct Service report. She has been asked if grade money can be used for the girls at the Vivian Smith facility. Sue McClure moved and Connie Odekirk seconded that this policy be approved. The motion passed without objection.
Pink Slips There were no Pink Slips this month.
75th Anniversary Kathleen McGrath reported on the final recommendations of the 75th Anniversary Committee. Her full report is attached to these minutes. Marie Miller moved and Shirley Lewis seconded that the report be approved as submitted. The motion passed without objection. Membership Two new members and one potential new member attended the membership tea at Andra Sudler’s home.
There being no further business the meeting adjourned at 10:05 a.m.
